Get started with adding customers data into Jetpack CRM

You can use different ways to import your customers data. Choose one or more of them to start adding contacts in your Jetpack CRM site.

Once you’ve installed and activated Jetpack CRM, you’re ready to bring your existing contacts into your CRM so you can organize, track, and manage them effectively.

Options and ways to add contacts in CRM

There are several ways to add contacts in your Jetpack CRM site:

  • Add them manually if you only have a few.
  • Import a CSV file if you have a list exported from another system.
  • Use an integration to automatically import customers from PayPal, Stripe, WooCommerce, or other connected services.

Below you’ll find instructions for each method to help you choose the best option for your business.

Note: In this documentation, we often use “customers” and “leads” interchangeably. You can adapt the same steps if you refer to your contacts as donors, supporters, or another term.

Add contacts manually

Even if you’ve imported or synced a large list of customers, you may still need to add individual contacts manually from time to time.

If you’re a small or local business you might prefer to manage each contact yourself. Here’s how to add a single contact manually:

  1. Go to the Jetpack CRM menu item in WordPress.
  2. Click Contacts → Add New.
  3. Fill in the contact info.
  4. Click the Save button.

Import contacts from CSV files

If you’re moving contacts from an old system, mailing list, or a spreadsheet saved on your shared drive, the easiest way to bring that data into Jetpack CRM is by saving it as a CSV file: a common, easy-to-use file format.

Jetpack CRM includes a built-in CSV importer that can handle well-formatted CSV files. Once you have your CSV ready, follow these steps:

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Jetpack CRM → Contacts → Import.
  2. Upload your CSV file.
  3. When prompted, map each column in your CSV to the correct CRM fields (for example, make sure the First Name column is matched to the First Name field in Jetpack CRM).
  4. Start the import.

Note: If you need to import custom fields, transactions, or companies, or if you want to make importing large datasets even easier, check out CSV Importer Pro. This premium extension can help elevate and streamline your importing process.

Import customers from PayPal, Stripe, or WooCommerce

You can import your contact and transaction history from various sources with our powerful integrations:

Each integration has its own setup process, but once connected, it will automatically keep your Jetpack CRM customers and transactions up to date.

After the first import, there’s no extra work required: your data stays in sync automatically.

For developers

There are many third-party solutions available, and it’s not possible for us to build integrations for all of them. However, Jetpack CRM offers a flexible API that enables unlimited customization and extensibility to fit your unique needs.

More help import customer Data into Jetpack CRM
