Install and set up Jetpack CRM on your WordPress site.
On this page you can find the instructions to install and set up Jetpack CRM on your WordPress site, from installation to completing the onboarding wizard in just a few steps.
Before you start: install WordPress
These instructions assumes you already have WordPress installed. If you don’t, learn how to install WordPress first.
Jetpack CRM is a free, all-in-one customer relationship management (CRM) plugin available in the WordPress Plugin Repository. You can install or download it like any other WordPress plugin.

How to install Jetpack CRM
There are three ways to install WordPress plugins.
Automatic plugin installation (recommended)
You can install Jetpack CRM directly from your WordPress dashboard using the built-in plugin installer. This is the easiest and fastest method.
Upload via WP Admin dashboard
You can also upload the plugin manually from your computer:
- Download the plugin as a .zip file from the Jetpack CRM page.
- In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Upload the file, then click Install Now and Activate.
Manual installation via SFTP
In some cases, you may prefer to upload the plugin directly to your server using an SFTP client. To do this:
- Download Jetpack CRM.
- Extract the .zip file.
- Upload the extracted folder to your server’s
/wp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate it from your WordPress dashboard under “Plugins”.
Once the plugin is activated, the Jetpack CRM Onboarding Wizard will launch automatically.
Setting up Jetpack CRM
After activation, you’ll see a 4-step onboarding process that helps you configure your CRM quickly.
Essential information
You’ll be asked to enter key information that sets up the foundation of your CRM:
- Company /CRM name: the name to display within your CRM.
- Currency: choose the default currency for your invoices and transactions.
- Business type: select your business type from the dropdown menu.
- Menu style: choose how Jetpack CRM appears in your WordPress dashboard.
Tip: The “Jetpack CRM Slimline” layout is the most popular and selected by default. Learn more about menu layouts here. - Usage tracking: you can enable or disable anonymous usage tracking to help us improve Jetpack CRM. We recommend keeping this enabled.
You can always update these settings later under CRM Settings, then click Next to continue.
Add, import and manage your contacts
You can explore extensions that help import or connect your contact data to Jetpack CRM.
- Click Connect your CRM to other services to view integration options.
- You can also follow our guide on importing customers if you already have contact data to bring in.
- Click Next to proceed.
Find the right extensions to get started
In this section, you can enable or disable the core Jetpack CRM modules:
- Quotes.
- Invoices.
- WooSync (connects with WooCommerce).
You can modify these modules later under CRM Settings → Core Modules, then click Next when you’re done.
Finish setup and stay updated with CRM
In the final step, you can subscribe to the Jetpack CRM newsletter to receive exclusive bonuses, updates, and important release information.
Click Next, then Finish and go to your CRM to complete the setup and start managing your customers.
