Jetpack CRM License Keys

When you buy a Jetpack CRM bundle plan or a stand-alone extension, you need to activate your purchase by adding the license key(s) to your site.

Activating the license key(s) on website URL

Each Jetpack CRM license key can be associated with only one site URL, meaning you need multiple plans or extensions to activate these features on different sites/URLs.

If you have more than three sites needing CRM upgraded features, the Reseller program is a good value for money, even if your final goal is not to resell licenses to their parties.

License keys use strict URL matching, so if you change your site URL from http:///www.mysite.com to https:///mysite.com the license key URL must be updated in your Jetpack CRM account.

Change the site URL assigned to my license keys

You can change the URL assigned to your license key up to three times a year by following these steps:

  1. Go to Jetpack CRM → CRM Settings → General → CRM License.
  2. Delete the license key, and click the Save Settings button.
  3. Log into your Jetpack CRM account.
  4. In the “Your Account” section of your account dashboard, click the License Keys button. Or, click on your Gravatar (profile image) at the top right, and select License Keys.
  5. Locate the license key you want to change, and click the Remove from this install link.
  6. On the new site where you want to use Jetpack CRM, go to Jetpack CRM → CRM Settings → General → CRM License.
  7. Enter the license key, and click the Save Settings button.

You can only get extension updates and warnings on the site(s) associated with your license key(s). Please delete extensions from sites not licensed to use because they may become outdated and a security risk over time.

Please contact support if you need to change the license key URL after reaching your three-time annual limit.

Troubleshooting license key problems

Error: “Your license key is either invalid, expired or not assigned to this site”

You may get this error despite your license key being correct.

Jetpack CRM license keys should work on any server that WordPress can run on. However, to validate your license and check for extension updates, it will need to do what, technically speaking, is defined as “call home”‘.
Some servers block such calls, meaning the license may return this error.

To solve this, test the following options:

  • Try disabling security plugins, such as Wordfence or All in One WP Security, while you activate your license. (Note: these security plugins may also block automatic/update checks).
  • Make sure you have CURL or file_get_contents server settings enabled. If you have no security plugins but keep getting the above message, you may need to contact your web host and ask them to enable the CURL.

The license key doesn’t work in both production and staging sites simultaneously

The license key can only be used on one site. If it’s associated with your live site, it won’t be assigned to the development site, and vice versa.

You can use the license key on the staging site first. Then, when you’re ready to move to the production site, you can unassign it from your staging site and move it to the live site. As explained in the instructions above, you can switch from the development site to the live site—and vice versa—three times per year. After that, you will need to contact us to have it done.

You purchased a Jetpack Complete plan and can’t find your Jetpack CRM license key

You can submit a Jetpack support request, asking for your Jetpack CRM Entrepreneur license as part of your Jetpack Complete plan. To do that, you must be logged into the WordPress.com account from which you bought Jetpack Complete.

We will then issue your Jetpack CRM license key and let you know how to activate it on your site.

  1. Can I use the same license key to update plugins on the staging site for the corresponding live site in order to test for conflicts and bugs?
