How can contacts unsubscribe?

When creating the campaign email(s), add a ##UNSUB-LINE## placeholder to add an unsubscribe link to the email.

This is included in the default email templates. If you’re creating an email from scratch, you can add the placeholder wherever you want.

Unsubscribed Page

In addition to the unsubscribe link in the email, you’ll also need an unsubscribed page. Contacts will be taken to this page when they click the unsubscribe link in the email.

Jetpack CRM Mail Campaigns automatically creates this page upon installation. If you don’t have it or want to change it, you can add the [jetpackcrm_unsubscribe] shortcode to whatever page you want to use as the unsubscribed page.

in the page editor, you can embed [jetpackcrm_unsubscribe] into the page with the Shortcode block.

After a contact has unsubscribed, you’ll see the Email Unsubscribed flag when viewing the contact.

The Do Not Contact Flag

If a user unsubscribes from a broadcast or segment sent through Mail Campaigns, a flag is added to their contact summary screen, as seen above.

As a result of that, Mail Campaigns broadcasts or sequences will not be sent to those JP CRM Contacts. Contacts with the Do Not Email Flag will be automatically excluded from being sent Mail Campaigns emails, even if they would otherwise belong to a broadcast group or segment.

Please note that the flag only applies to emails sent via Mail Campaigns. The user can still be contacted by emails from CRM, such as System Emails, Invoice notifications, and the like.

Filter contacts by Unsubscribe tag

With the Jetpack CRM v.6.1.0 and Mail Campaigns extension v.2.5.0, you can see the unsubscribed tag on the Jetpack CRM Contacts page – read how to do this on this dedicated page.
