Setting up the Mailchimp Connector extension

Step 1: Download and Install the Mailchimp Connector extension

Once you’ve installed and activated the extension you’re ready to set it up and start sending your new Leads and Customers to your Mailchimp email list.

Step 2: Enter your Mailchimp API key into the settings

You can find your Mailchimp API Key by following the Mailchimp guide here.

After that:

  1. Go to Jetpack CRM > CRM Settings > Mailchimp Connector.
  2. Enter your Mailchimp API key and click the “Save Settings” button.

Step 3: Choose which list you want to subscribe people to

We use a Jetpack CRM list. As soon as we have a new customer or lead added to the list, they’ll start receiving our email automations. This is a great way to onboard your CRM users and send them targeted communications.

What else do I need to know?

This is a super simple integration to start adding your Jetpack CRM customers to your Mailchimp list. It’s important to consider double opt-ins for people who you add via the API

  1. So does that mean that when anyone uses any zbs crm form they get added to that MailChimp list automatically? Can we add people to MailChimp after the fact? This article is vague. Is there a choice to have say a contact form that doesn’t add people to Mailchimp through the zbs crm?

    1. Yes, if you choose a list all new contacts will be added.

  2. What about viewing reports from MailChimp?
Any chance of getting them integrated also?
Syncing the list is ok just not robust enough.

  3. Using the mailchimp connector I have added the Mailchimp API, I have chosen the list name in mailchimp that I want my Jetpack CRM contacts to go into however contacts are not populating the mailchimp list.

What Could I be doing wrong?

  4. Hi

Is it possible to add only a specific Tag or Segment to the mailchimp-newsletter or is that planned for a future release?

    Best regards, Dominik

    1. Hi Dominik – please send questions like this via the helpdesk (submit a ticket) thanks.

  5. Hi,

I am unable to send tags to MailChimp using this plugin, When I looked into the code I found out that zeroBS_getCustomerMeta() is missing from the code base.

    1. Hi Saumya,

That’s not currently a feature of our MailChimp extension, and zeroBS_getCustomerMeta() is a function in the core CRM.
