When Jetpack CRM receives contacts or other objects to update via Forms, the API, our Contact Form 7 integration, and similar methods, it can either update all fields (blanking out those that weren’t passed) or update only the passed data.
This is often a workflow choice made by users, but this page directs you to the setting.

Overwrite settings on CSV Importer
Please note that the overwrite settings don’t apply to CSV Importer.
The CSV Importer determines duplicate contacts by email address. If the newly submitted contact information is a duplicate, it will be updated for all fields except the email address.
