MailPoet CRM Sync – Synchronising MailPoet Subscribers into Jetpack CRM

As of v5.5 you can now Sync MailPoet and Jetpack CRM. You can do this with the free Core CRM by using the MailPoet Sync module.

This guide explains how you can get your Subscribers from MailPoet into Jetpack CRM. If you want to export your CRM contacts into MailPoet, please see our guide on Exporting CRM Contact Segments to MailPoet subscriber lists.

Getting Started with MailPoet Sync

To get started, you’ll need the following:

  1. Jetpack CRM plugin installed, (download here).
  2. MailPoet plugin installed (download here).
  3. The MailPoet Sync module in Jetpack CRM’s core module activated. (To do this, click Tools from the top menu in Jetpack CRM, then click Core Modules. From this page, you can enable MailPoet Sync.)

Syncing MailPoet to Jetpack CRM

Once you have the MailPoet plugin and CRM’s MailPoet sync activated, you can go ahead and Sync your Subscribers.

If you want to let the sync run in the background, there’s nothing to do here! Jetpack CRM will automatically sync your MailPoet Subscribers while the MailPoet Sync module is activated.

On the other hand, if you want to see the sync in action, follow these two steps.

1. Configure Sync (optional)

If you’d like to tweak the settings first, head to your settings page and select ‘MailPoet’ to configure the settings for MailPoet Sync.

The MailPoet Settings page

From this page, you can choose whether or not to import tags and/or tag with list names. You can also select what Jetpack CRM should do when a MailPoet Subscriber is deleted in MailPoet.

2. Run MailPoet Sync

Even if you didn’t change any settings above, Jetpack CRM’s MailPoet sync would work well right out of the box. To get started, select MailPoet Sync from the Tools drop-down menu at the top of any Jetpack CRM page:

From here, you’ll be presented with the current Sync status, and if you leave this page open, it will Sync your Subscribers while you wait!

But do you need to leave this page open? Not at all. Jetpack CRM will keep your MailPoet Subscribers synced with periodic and automatic imports. Visiting this page will speed up the process, but it’s unnecessary.

And that’s it! From here, you’ll start seeing contacts show up in your contact list, from which you can select MailPoet-only contacts via the “MailPoet” contact filter on the right-hand bar:

Don’t forget: You can also export your Contacts to MailPoet via segments too!
